Homemade Egg Pasta



Ok guys, this is the easiest recipe ever. Takes about 15 minutes to make so you can have pasta and sauce in about 1 hour! You just need 3 ingredients and a rolling pin to make this. Easy peasy!


Prep. Time: 15 minutes

Resting time: 30 minutes -1 hour

Cooking Time: 5 minutes



Serves 2

Ingredients

300g strong white flour

5 large eggs

Pinch of salt


Method:


Place your flour in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the eggs in and slowly incorporate the flour with the eggs. Bring it all together and tip out onto a floured surface. Knead for about 5- 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover in cling wrap or place back in bowl and cover. Place in the fridge to let rest for 30 minutes to an hour.


Note: You can leave this overnight if you like. It will form a dark surface, but just knead again and let rest for 30 minutes before use.


Once the dough has rested, roll out to desired thickness and width, either with a rolling pin or a pasta maker.


Boil some water in a pan with plenty of salt. Add the pasta once water is at a rolling boil. Cook for 5-10 minutes, depending on thickness.
